To be quite frank about it, without writers, there would be
no movies, no TV shows, no books, and no songs. It takes a writer to script
shows and movies and to create story lines and write some of your favorite
songs. So next time you think poorly of a writer, remember what you would be
missing out on. I think people should thank writers more often. Granted there
are different types of writers whether it is an author or song writers but at
the end of the day, they still wrote something. I believe that life would be a
whole lot less entertaining without writers.
Maybe my whole tangent today is in defense of people who are
artsy and creative. What would life be without creativity? Whether you are a
writer, photographer, painter, or whatever creativity is so important. It makes
life colorful! It makes life exciting! It bothers me when my dear friends who
have such great ideas are quelled by what is the norm for people to be. For
those of you who have creative friends, support them and be creative yourself
in your own way! Do what you love because life is too short to spend it being
unhappy.
I also happen to tire easily of people who sit and judge other people. I couldn't tell you how many times I have had to hear people sit and tell me about 'practicality'. Being a writer is my career, is my creative outlet, but according to some, it's not 'practical'. What does practicality even mean? (Yeah, I know what it really means but I'm speaking in a metaphorical sense here.) I feel like so much in life is already so practical and it makes life boring. When life is boring, people start to complain and when people start to complain, no one is happy. Being practical might mean having to take life seriously all the time. It's important to take the things that are important to you seriously but sometimes people need to stop judging other people who are out being passionate about something they love even if its not practical. Take a chill pill people and relax.
Alright, I think my little rant about…whatever it really was
is over. I just thought I should share my thoughts about supporting people
instead of trying to bring them down. Just know there’s a difference between when
it’s your opinion and when you’re just being a jerk to someone.
Spread positivity not negativity.
Seriously.
I feel like this is kind of what we talked about the other day, only MORE (the creativity part, that is). And I completely agree. Creativity should be encouraged, not squashed like the spider on your bathroom wall.
ReplyDeleteKeep writing, girl. It'll pay off!
On a lighter note, I love the title ;D
